Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Zoology lessons aligned with NCERT and CBSE standards for Classes 11 and 12. Conduct regular practical sessions using lab resources to reinforce theoretical knowledge. Prepare students for board exams and competitive tests like NEET through focused practice and doubt-clearing.
Design interactive lessons that connect textbook concepts with local ecosystems around Dewas. Organize field visits or virtual sessions to study biodiversity in nearby areas when feasible. Collaborate with other science teachers to integrate interdisciplinary projects in the curriculum.
Assess student progress through tests, quizzes, and assignments to identify learning gaps. Provide timely feedback and recommend remedial measures for weaker students. Maintain accurate records of attendance, marks, and academic progress for each class.
Organize science exhibitions or Zoology-related competitions to encourage student participation. Mentor students for science fairs, quizzes, and Olympiads at district or state levels. Encourage critical thinking by discussing recent discoveries in biology and their applications.
Coordinate with lab assistants to ensure availability of microscopes, specimens, and digital resources. Update teaching aids and charts based on the latest syllabus changes. Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and growth.
Contribute to curriculum review sessions to suggest improvements in Zoology content or delivery methods. Attend staff meetings, workshops, and training programs as required by Sardana International School. Share best practices with colleagues to enhance the science department’s effectiveness.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Zoology with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory for this teaching position. Prior experience of at least 4 years in teaching Zoology at the senior secondary level is required.
Familiarity with CBSE and NCERT guidelines for Classes 11 and 12 is essential. Previous exposure to NEET preparation or similar competitive exam coaching will be an advantage. Candidates with experience in digital teaching tools or smart classrooms are preferred.
