What You Will Do
- Plan and deliver English lessons to students in Grades 6-10, using a range of teaching methods and materials to cater to different learning styles.
- Assess students' English language skills and identify areas for improvement, developing targeted lesson plans to address these needs.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to participate and take risks in their English learning.
- Use technology to enhance English language learning, such as online resources, educational apps, and multimedia materials.
- Collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement cross-curricular projects that integrate English with other subjects.
- Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about students' progress and involve them in their child's English learning.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in English language teaching.
- Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to English language teaching and learning.
Who Can Apply
To be considered for this role, you should have a strong background in English language teaching, a graduate degree, and a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience. A B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree is required, and a TET or CTET certification is preferred.
