About This Role
Sardana International School is expanding its Computer Science department and invites a senior educator to lead the TGT Computer Science stream. This is a hands-on role with department ownership, curriculum innovation, and board result accountability. The position offers a pathway to academic leadership for those ready to mentor junior staff and shape technology education in Dewas.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver the TGT Computer Science curriculum for Classes 6 to 10, ensuring alignment with CBSE guidelines. Develop practical labs, coding clubs, and project-based learning to keep students engaged in Dewas’ growing tech ecosystem. Monitor student progress, analyze assessment data, and mentor junior teachers to maintain consistent teaching standards.
Curate weekly lesson plans, create digital resources, and organize inter-house coding competitions that reflect local school culture. Prepare students for Olympiad exams and board practicals while maintaining a clean, well-equipped computer lab. Collaborate with the school’s senior leadership to set academic targets and review syllabus updates.
Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance in Computer Science, providing clear guidance on improvement. Contribute to school events such as science fairs and tech exhibitions to showcase student talent. Support the Vice Principal in implementing new pedagogical initiatives across the middle school.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or related field with a minimum of five years’ teaching experience at the TGT level. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory; candidates with TET/CTET will receive preference during shortlisting. Prior experience in a CBSE-affiliated school, especially in Dewas or nearby districts, is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Python, Scratch, and basic hardware maintenance is essential. Candidates should be comfortable using smart classrooms and digital assessment tools. Knowledge of Madhya Pradesh’s state-level initiatives in computer education is an added advantage.
