About This Role
You will be the primary facilitator of the music curriculum for classes IX to XII, designing lessons that blend theory with practical performance. The role offers creative freedom to introduce contemporary and classical pieces, encouraging students to explore their musical potential.
What You Will Do
- Conduct daily music theory and practical sessions for secondary students.
- Prepare and lead school concerts, cultural festivals, and inter‑school competitions.
- Assess student progress through projects, performances, and written examinations.
- Coordinate with the arts department to integrate music with other creative subjects.
- Maintain and organize musical instruments and audio‑visual equipment.
- Mentor students for external music examinations and talent shows.
- Participate in faculty meetings and contribute ideas for curriculum enhancement.
- Support extracurricular clubs such as choir, band, and folk music groups.
Who Can Apply
Must have: B.Ed or D.El.Ed in Music, at least 3 years of teaching experience, post‑graduate level knowledge of music, good command of English and Hindi.
Nice to have: TET or CTET certification, experience with digital music production, exposure to Indian classical and western music styles.
Preferred Skills
- Strong communication and classroom management.
- Ability to inspire confidence in young performers.
- Flexibility to adapt lesson plans for varied learning levels.
- Collaborative spirit for interdisciplinary projects.
