Responsibilities
Teach Sanskrit to students in classes from 6th to 12th standard, ensuring alignment with CBSE syllabus while integrating classical texts and modern pedagogical methods. Develop engaging lesson plans that emphasize grammar, literature, and Vedic traditions, adapting teaching styles to diverse learning needs. Collaborate with the school’s curriculum team to introduce innovative projects, such as Sanskrit poetry recitals or Vedic chanting workshops, to enhance students’ linguistic and cultural appreciation.
Prepare and grade assignments, exams, and continuous evaluation (CGE) sheets with meticulous attention to accuracy. Act as a bridge between Sanskrit heritage and contemporary education by organizing cultural events like Sanskrit festivals or inter-house competitions. Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages respect for ancient texts while promoting critical thinking among students.
Qualification
Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sanskrit with a minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in a school setting. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory for this position. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
Experience
Proven expertise in teaching Sanskrit to students aged 12 to 18 years is essential. Experience in shaping young minds through classical literature, Vedic studies, or Sanskrit grammar will be highly valued. Familiarity with school management systems and assessment tools is beneficial.
