Role Introduction
St. Xaviers High School | Gupteshwar in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh is looking for a full‑time PGT Zoology Teacher. The candidate will handle senior secondary classes, prepare students for board examinations and foster a scientific outlook.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive Zoology lessons to classes XI and XII, covering theory, practicals and recent developments in the field.
- Design and conduct laboratory experiments, ensuring safety protocols and accurate record‑keeping.
- Prepare teaching aids, lesson plans and assessment tools aligned with the Madhya Pradesh curriculum.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, quizzes and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
- Mentor students for science fairs, projects and competitive exams, encouraging research‑oriented thinking.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events and parent‑teacher interactions as required.
- Support co‑teachers in interdisciplinary activities and contribute to the overall academic improvement plan.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post‑graduate degree in Zoology or related life science discipline.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory; TET/CTET certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication skills in English and Hindi, with the ability to engage adolescents effectively.
Salary and Application
- Salary: Rs.42,000 – Rs.60,000 per month.
