TGT English Teacher Responsibilities at St. Xaviers High School, Gupteshwar
Teach English as a core subject to students from Class IX to XII, ensuring alignment with the CBSE curriculum. Develop engaging lesson plans, activities, and assessments tailored to different learning levels. Conduct daily classes, group discussions, and interactive sessions to enhance vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension skills.
Monitor student progress regularly through written assignments, oral presentations, and periodic tests. Prepare and maintain subject-wise records, including attendance, grades, and individual student improvement reports. Collaborate with the principal and senior faculty to integrate English language skills into interdisciplinary projects.
Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment and adhere to school rules regarding punctuality and professional conduct. Attend mandatory school meetings and participate in departmental discussions to refine teaching strategies.
Eligibility and Qualifications
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field along with a post-graduate qualification in English or a relevant subject. Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree to qualify as a TGT English teacher. Minimum two years of teaching experience in schools is required.
