Opportunity for an Experienced Educator

Leadership Expectations and Curriculum Ownership
• Own the Computer Science curriculum and align it with state standards.
• Mentor junior teachers and support peer learning workshops.
• Lead the formation of interdisciplinary projects linking CS with mathematics and science.
• Drive the adoption of innovative teaching tools and digital resources.
Core Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging lessons to classes 6 to 8, ensuring clear conceptual understanding.
2. Design and assess formative and summative assessments tailored to diverse learning needs.
3. Integrate coding, robotics, and problem‑solving activities into daily lessons.
4. Maintain up‑to‑date student records and report progress to parents and administration.
5. Coordinate school science fairs and coding competitions, showcasing student projects.
6. Collaborate with other subject teachers to create cross‑curricular projects.
7. Organize and facilitate professional development sessions on emerging technologies.
8. Participate in curriculum review committees and suggest updates based on industry trends.
What You Bring to the Table
A post‑graduate degree in Computer Science or related field, B.Ed or D.El.Ed, and at least four years of classroom experience. A strong command of programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++ is essential. Proven ability to inspire students and adapt lessons to varied learning styles is required. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
