Iteach Nmmc 91 & 120 English Medium Primary and Secondary School in Mumbai seeks a dedicated PGT History Teacher to engage students with dynamic and contextually relevant lessons. This role requires a strong command of Indian history, particularly from colonial to contemporary periods, to deliver structured and thought-provoking syllabus content. The successful candidate will develop engaging classroom discussions centered on key events, figures, and socio-political transformations, ensuring alignment with the latest CBSE/ICSE curriculum.
The teacher will prepare detailed lesson plans that incorporate multimedia resources, such as documentaries, maps, and primary source analysis, to enhance student understanding. Assessing student performance through written exams, projects, and oral presentations will be a core responsibility, with a focus on evaluating critical thinking and historical interpretation skills. Collaboration with the history department will be minimal, as this role is primarily classroom-focused.
Eligible candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in History with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is an added advantage. The salary for this position is Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month, with full-time employment in a reputable Mumbai-based school.
