Role Introduction
Lokmanya Tilak International School invites applications for a Mathematics Teacher Job in Mumbai City. This full‑time TGT position involves delivering the curriculum to classes IX‑XII and fostering analytical skills among students.
Daily Responsibilities
- Conduct interactive mathematics lessons, ensuring concepts are clear and engaging for each class.
- Assess student understanding through quick quizzes, oral questioning and class participation.
- Provide timely feedback on assignments and maintain accurate attendance records.
- Coordinate with fellow teachers to integrate cross‑subject activities that reinforce mathematical thinking.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
- Design and update lesson plans aligned with the Maharashtra State Board syllabus and incorporate ICT tools where appropriate.
- Prepare and evaluate term examinations, projects and practical assignments, maintaining fairness and transparency.
- Organize remedial sessions and enrichment classes for students needing additional support or advanced challenges.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent‑teacher interactions and school events to discuss student progress and curriculum matters.
Periodic Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of school‑wide assessment strategies and annual academic reports.
- Lead or assist in mathematics clubs, Olympiads and inter‑school competitions on a termly basis.
- Attend professional development workshops and school training programs to stay updated with pedagogical trends.
Qualification and Experience
Candidates must hold a post‑graduate degree in Mathematics along with B.Ed or D.El.Ed. Minimum two years of teaching experience in a school setting is required. TET/CTET qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
Salary and Location
The role offers a salary of Rs.33,000 - Rs.55,000 per month. The posting is based in Mumbai City, Maharastra at Lokmanya Tilak International School.
