Responsibilities
1. Plan, deliver and assess Social Science lessons in accordance with the Maharashtra State Board syllabus.
2. Create interactive learning activities that relate history, geography and civics to everyday life in Mumbai City.
3. Prepare teaching aids, worksheets and multimedia resources to enhance student engagement.
4. Conduct periodic tests, evaluate answer scripts and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
5. Organize co‑curricular events such as heritage walks, model UN and debates to deepen subject understanding.
6. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades and classroom observations as per school policy.
7. Participate in faculty meetings, parent‑teacher interactions and professional development workshops.
8. Support the School TGT Social Science Opening by mentoring junior staff and sharing best practices.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must hold a post‑graduate degree in Social Science or a related discipline along with B.Ed/D.El.Ed. Minimum two years of teaching experience at the secondary level is required. TET or CTET qualification is preferred and will be considered an advantage. Strong communication skills in English and Marathi, coupled with a passion for student‑centred pedagogy, are essential.
Salary and Location
Salary: Rs.22,000 - Rs.45,000 per month. Location: Mumbai City, Maharastra – Billabong High International School | Mulund.
