Role introduction
Euro School is looking for a dynamic individual to lead its theatre programme in Mumbai City. This position offers an exciting chance to shape the cultural landscape of a progressive school while managing day‑to‑day operations of the theatre department.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive theatre curriculum aligned with school goals.
- Coordinate rehearsals, stage productions and extracurricular events across the academic year.
- Manage budgeting, procurement of props, costumes and technical equipment.
- Supervise and mentor support staff, including stagehands and coordinators.
- Liaise with parents, external artists and cultural organisations for collaborative projects.
- Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with school policies during all performances.
- Organise workshops, guest lectures and community outreach activities to promote performing arts.
- Prepare reports on programme outcomes for school administration.
Qualification
Must Have
- Graduate degree with B.Ed or D.El.Ed.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in theatre administration or arts management.
Good to Have
- TET/CTET certification preferred.
- Additional training in arts leadership or event management.
Skills
- Strong organisational and project‑management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with students, parents and artists.
- Creative vision with a practical approach to staging and production.
- Ability to work within budget constraints while delivering high‑quality performances.
- Proficiency in basic audio‑visual and lighting equipment.
Salary and location
The position offers a salary range of Rs.20,000 - Rs.35,000 per month. The role is based at Euro School, Mumbai City, Maharastra, with a full‑time employment contract.
