NTT Art And Craft Teacher Job in Nagpur, Maharastra | School Recruitment
The reality of this role
At Delhi Public School Lava Nagpur you will spend your day guiding classes of 6‑12 students through hands‑on projects, from simple drawing exercises to festive craft displays. The schedule includes preparing materials, managing a small studio space, and coordinating with class teachers for interdisciplinary activities. You will also help organize annual art exhibitions and cultural functions that showcase student talent. Interaction with parents during PTMs to discuss progress is a regular part of the job.
What you will actually do
- Conduct daily Art and Craft lessons as per the CBSE syllabus for primary and middle sections.
- Design lesson plans that integrate local cultural themes of Nagpur and Maharashtra.
- Prepare and maintain all required art supplies, ensuring safety and hygiene.
- Assess student work and maintain records of progress and portfolios.
- Collaborate with class teachers to integrate art projects with science, history or language topics.
- Lead after‑school clubs and workshops for interested students.
- Arrange and supervise school exhibitions, craft fairs and participation in district level art competitions.
- Mentor junior teachers or student volunteers in studio management.
Who can do this job
A graduate with B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory. Candidates should have at least 3 years of teaching experience in Art and Craft at a school. TET/CTET qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
