Who You Will Teach
As a PGT History Teacher, you will be teaching History to students across diverse learning levels, from Class 6 to Class 12, in an inclusive classroom setting. Our students come from varied backgrounds, and we aim to provide them with a rich, comprehensive, and engaging History education that caters to their individual needs.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Design and deliver engaging History lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that encourages active participation and discussion.
- Develop and implement differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve their History skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in History education and incorporate these into your teaching practices.
- Participate in school events, such as History exhibitions, and contribute to the school's cultural activities.
- Provide individualized support to students who require extra help.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attend meetings with parents and other educators as needed.
- Contribute to the development of the History curriculum and materials.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in History (MA or M.A. History) or a related field from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree from a recognized institution.
- TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in History at a school level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
