Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physical Education or related field with a minimum of 55 % marks.
- NET or SET certification is mandatory; a Ph.D. in Physical Education or a related discipline is highly preferred.
- Proven teaching experience of at least four years in a college setting.
- Valid teaching certification such as B.Ed, TET, or CTET is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and to assess student progress effectively.
Research & Development
- Encourage students to undertake research projects on sports science, health, and fitness topics.
- Publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals or present at national conferences, thereby enhancing the college’s academic reputation.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate physical education concepts into interdisciplinary courses.
Salary & Benefits
- Monthly remuneration ranging from Rs.40,000 to Rs.50,000, aligned with UGC pay scales for PGT positions.
