About This Role
Sankalp International School Pune is looking for a full-time PRT Music Teacher Vacancy in Pune to nurture vocal and instrumental skills in grades 1 to 5. You will work closely with the art coordinator to align lesson plans with the school’s integrated curriculum. The position demands creativity, patience, and the ability to conduct group rehearsals without losing sight of individual progress.
What You Will Do
Prepare weekly lesson plans that blend classical, folk, and contemporary styles.
Conduct daily 40-minute classes for two sections each of grades 1-5.
Organise monthly assemblies where students showcase what they have learned.
Train students for inter-house music competitions held every term.
Maintain attendance registers and assessment portfolios for each child.
Coordinate with the sports department to choreograph opening ceremonies.
Set up and store instruments and props after every session.
Attend staff meetings and contribute to curriculum review discussions.
Who Can Apply
Graduates with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed are eligible for the PRT Music Teacher in Pune, Maharastra. Prior experience of at least two years in primary music teaching is required. Prior experience with Indian classical vocal or instrumental (harmonium, tabla, keyboard) will be preferred. Fluency in Marathi, Hindi, and English helps during parent interactions and community events.
