- Prepare and maintain up-to-date teaching materials, resources, and assessments to support student learning.
- Set and mark coursework and exams, providing constructive feedback to students to help them improve.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement, using this information to inform teaching and learning strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the school's Biology curriculum.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.
- Supervise students during extracurricular activities, such as science fairs and debates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Biology education.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- A post-graduate degree in Biology or a related field (M.Sc/B.Sc).
- A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification.
- A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in a senior secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and teaching skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
