Job Description
PGT Drawing Teacher Job in Thane, Maharashtra | School Recruitment
The Sia Primary & High School | Thane is seeking a dedicated PGT Drawing Teacher to join their team and bring creativity and technical skills to their students. This role is ideal for someone passionate about visual arts, with a strong foundation in drawing techniques, anatomy, and design principles. You’ll be shaping young minds by teaching fundamental and advanced drawing concepts, fostering an environment where students can explore their artistic talents.
Your daily work will involve teaching drawing classes at The Sia Primary & High School | Thane, covering everything from basic sketching and shading to more complex subjects like perspective, color theory, and graphic design. You’ll also prepare lesson plans, conduct practical demonstrations, and assess students’ work using a mix of traditional and modern teaching methods. Since Thane’s educational landscape values hands-on learning, you’ll likely collaborate with other art teachers and sometimes even with science or design faculty to integrate visual arts into interdisciplinary projects.
For this PGT Drawing Teacher position, you should hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with at least two years of relevant teaching experience. While a TET/CTET certificate is preferred, it’s not mandatory. Your expertise should extend beyond classroom instruction—you’ll need to stay updated with contemporary art trends, educational technology tools, and best practices in visual arts education. A strong portfolio showcasing your own work is always a plus, as it demonstrates your ability to inspire students while maintaining high teaching standards.
The Sia Primary & High School | Thane offers a competitive salary of Rs.42,000 to Rs.60,000 per month, along with a supportive work environment that values creativity and professional growth. Located in Thane, the school benefits from a diverse student body and a focus on holistic development, making it a great place to teach drawing while contributing to a vibrant educational community. If you’re ready to take on this role with enthusiasm and dedication, we’d love to hear from you.
