Responsibilities
Plan and deliver advanced-level geography lessons aligned with Odisha’s curriculum standards. Develop engaging teaching methods, including interactive maps, field trips, and real-world case studies. Collaborate with Saraswati Public School’s faculty to enhance geography programs, ensuring students grasp regional geography, environmental studies, and economic geography concepts.
Teach geography at the senior secondary level, focusing on topics like physical geography, human geography, and geographical information systems. Prepare and assess unit-wise exams, ensuring students meet academic benchmarks. Participate in school events like science fairs, geography clubs, and inter-school competitions to promote interest in the subject.
Maintain updated teaching resources, including textbooks, lab equipment, and digital tools for virtual learning. Attend staff meetings and professional development workshops to stay updated on teaching trends. Support students with special needs through inclusive teaching strategies where possible.
Qualification
Hold a postgraduate degree in geography or a related field. Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification to teach at this level. A valid TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
Experience
Prove at least two years of teaching experience in geography at the senior secondary level. Familiarity with Odisha’s geography curriculum and local geography resources is a plus. Experience in using technology for geography education is beneficial.
Salary and Employment Type
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs.38,000 to Rs.60,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position with a supportive work environment at Saraswati Public School.
