Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced PGT Physics Teacher to join our faculty at St Xaviers High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Physics to students at the higher secondary level, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress. Day-to-Day Duties
- Plan and deliver Physics lessons to classes of up to 30 students
- Prepare and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to engage students
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives
- Conduct extracurricular activities and projects related to Physics
- Supervise students during Physics practical sessions
- Stay updated with curriculum developments and best practices in Physics education
Eligibility Criteria
- Postgraduate degree in Physics or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed) or a similar qualification
- Preferably, a valid TET or CTET certificate
- 2 years of experience in teaching Physics at the higher secondary level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
