Role Summary
A TGT Chemistry Teacher vacancy in Jajpur at St Xaviers High School is open for a post-graduate with at least two years of classroom experience. You will be responsible for shaping the curiosity of Classes VI to X, designing experiments that fit the budget, and ensuring every student sees the relevance of Chemistry beyond the textbook. Your primary classroom will be Jajpur itself, where industry visits and local context often become real-world case studies.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons for Grades VI to X, aligning with the state curriculum and board expectations.
Prepare low-cost yet effective lab demonstrations using locally available chemicals and glassware.
Conduct monthly unit tests, analyze answer sheets, and share concise feedback with students and parents.
Organize periodic Science exhibitions where students showcase Chemistry projects from their surroundings.
Collaborate with the Science team to create common question banks and assessment templates.
Accompany students on field trips to nearby industries or water-treatment plants to reinforce classroom concepts.
Maintain accurate attendance and academic records in the school ERP system.
Participate in PTMs and community events that promote Science awareness in Jajpur.
Required Qualifications
Post-graduate degree in Chemistry with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) from an NCTE-recognized institution.
Two years of full-time teaching experience in a secondary school.
Preference for candidates with TET or CTET certification, though not mandatory.
