Role
St. Xavier High School is hiring a full‑time PGT Geography Teacher for its senior secondary section in Keonjhar Sadar, Kendujhar, Odisha. The position involves delivering the Geography curriculum to Classes XI and XII and contributing to the school’s academic environment.
Responsibilities
Plan and conduct engaging Geography lessons in accordance with the NCERT syllabus, using a mix of lectures, projects and field activities. Assess student performance through tests, assignments and practical work, providing timely feedback. Participate in department meetings, school events and parent‑teacher interactions, and support extracurricular initiatives such as geography clubs or environmental drives.
Requirements
Minimum two years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level. Post‑graduate qualification in Geography or a related discipline, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills in English and Odia, good command of classroom management, and the ability to integrate technology into lessons are essential.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is Rs.30,000 – Rs.60,000 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Other standard school benefits apply.
