Role
The PGT Economics Teacher at Cohen International School | Khordha will lead classroom instruction for senior students. Collaboration with the economics department will be essential for curriculum updates and extracurricular activities like debates or guest lectures.
Responsibilities
Teaching duties include preparing and delivering lectures on macro and microeconomics, business economics, and related topics. You will also mentor students through project work, case studies, and field visits to local markets or economic hubs in Khordha. Ensuring students understand economic policies and their impact on daily life is a key focus. Participation in school events, such as career guidance workshops, will be part of the role.
Qualification
A postgraduate degree in Economics or a related field is mandatory. A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is required for teaching positions at this level. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role. Experience in teaching economics at the secondary or senior secondary level will be highly valued.
Experience
The PGT Economics Teacher must have at least four years of teaching experience, preferably in a reputed school or institution. Familiarity with CBSE or state board syllabi is beneficial. Experience in developing innovative teaching methods, especially those that encourage hands-on learning, will be advantageous.
Compensation
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs.40,000 to Rs.50,000 per month.
