Seeking an experienced PGT Geography Teacher to join Dips School | Rayya in Amritsar, Punjab. This role involves shaping young minds with a deep understanding of geographical concepts, from physical landscapes to human-environment interactions. Your expertise will guide students through field studies, cartography, and regional analysis, ensuring they grasp real-world relevance.
In this position, you’ll develop and deliver engaging geography lessons aligned with the curriculum. Your teaching will include hands-on experiments, project-based learning, and interactive discussions to foster critical thinking. Experience in integrating technology, like GIS mapping tools, will be valuable in modernizing classroom experiences.
You’ll collaborate with the geography department to plan interdisciplinary projects, such as community-based research or environmental awareness campaigns. Assisting in organizing field trips to explore local geography, like rivers, historical sites, or agricultural landscapes, will also be part of your responsibilities.
The role demands a passion for geography’s practical applications—whether through urban planning discussions, climate change studies, or economic geography. Your ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse student levels will be key to success in this dynamic school environment.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of Rs.40,000 to Rs.70,000 per month, with opportunities to mentor newer teachers and contribute to curriculum development. A postgraduate degree in Geography with at least two years of teaching experience is essential. While formal certification like TET/CTET is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role.
