Daily Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging computer science lessons tailored to students’ learning levels. Conduct interactive coding sessions, workshops, and lab activities to reinforce concepts. Monitor student progress during practicals and provide immediate feedback. Prepare daily lesson plans with clear objectives and assessment criteria.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update curriculum materials, including syllabi, worksheets, and project guidelines. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate computer science into interdisciplinary projects. Organize and participate in school-wide tech fairs, coding competitions, and awareness programs. Ensure compliance with school policies on digital safety and ethical coding practices.
Periodic Responsibilities
Assist in organizing school events like robotics exhibitions or cybersecurity workshops. Review and evaluate student performance through quizzes, assignments, and practical assessments. Represent the school at regional or national computer science conferences or seminars.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a post-graduate qualification in Computer Science or a related field. Possess a TET/CTET certificate for enhanced teaching credibility. Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in Computer Science or a similar subject. Strong command over programming languages like Python, Java, or C++ is essential.
