Responsibilities
Teach Sanskrit to students in classes from Grade 6 to 12, aligning with the curriculum standards of the Punjab Board. Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate Vedic texts, grammar, and cultural significance while maintaining academic rigor. Collaborate with the academic team to assess student progress and ensure alignment with school policies on Sanskrit pedagogy.
Prepare and deliver interactive classes that blend traditional teaching methods with modern educational tools. Organize extracurricular activities, such as recitals, debates, and workshops, to enhance students’ appreciation for Sanskrit literature and language. Maintain updated teaching resources, including textbooks, audio-visual aids, and digital materials to support classroom instruction.
Participate in faculty meetings and professional development sessions to stay updated on teaching methodologies and curriculum advancements. Assist in organizing school events where Sanskrit is featured, such as festivals like Sankranti or literary fairs, to foster community engagement.
Qualifications
Hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) as the minimum qualification for this position. Possession of a TET or CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. A postgraduate degree in Sanskrit or a related field is essential for this role.
Experience
Proven experience as a TGT Sanskrit Teacher in a school environment, with at least two years of teaching experience. Familiarity with curriculum frameworks and assessment techniques for Sanskrit education is highly valued.
Salary and Employment
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 35,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position with benefits including a stipend for professional development and access to school facilities.
