Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment, monitoring student progress and adjusting instruction to meet individual needs. Keep accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, and student evaluations, submitting reports to the principal as required. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and community outreach initiatives to promote the school’s arts program. Mentor junior dance educators or student volunteers, sharing best practices and supporting their development. Ensure all dance equipment and costumes are well maintained, and manage inventory responsibly. Uphold the school’s values and code of conduct, modeling respectful behavior and encouraging positive peer interactions.
Qualification and Experience
Candidates must hold a graduate degree and a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification to teach. A minimum of one year teaching experience in a school setting is required. Familiarity with PRT (Primary and Secondary) teaching methods and a passion for dance education are essential. TET or CTET certification is not mandatory, but a demonstrated commitment to professional growth in dance instruction is preferred.
