About This Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced PRT Punjabi Teacher to join our faculty at Doon International School Gurdaspur. As a PRT Punjabi Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Punjabi language and literature to students from classes 6 to 12. You will also be involved in developing and implementing curriculum materials, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to improve student outcomes.
What You Will Do
- Teach Punjabi language and literature to classes 6 to 12
- Develop and implement curriculum materials that cater to the needs of diverse learners
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve student outcomes and enhance the school's reputation
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies
- Conduct extracurricular activities such as essay writing competitions, poetry recitals, and language clubs
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessment results
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a positive learning environment
- Participate in professional development programs to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
Required Qualifications
Applicants must hold a B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. in Punjabi language and literature. A TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in a school setting and a passion for teaching Punjabi language and literature.
Salary and Benefits
The selected candidate will be offered a competitive salary of Rs.45,000 - Rs.65,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience. Other benefits include medical insurance, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.
