PGT Geography Teacher Position at Doon World School in Shahkot
Doon World School | Malsian invites a dedicated PGT Geography Teacher to join its vibrant academic community in Shahkot, Jalandhar. The teacher will design and deliver curriculum-aligned Geography lessons, ensuring students grasp concepts like physical geography, human-environment interactions, and regional studies. They will develop interactive teaching methods, including experiments, projects, and outdoor activities, to enhance learning outcomes. Collaboration with other faculty members will be essential for interdisciplinary projects and student assessments. The role also involves mentoring students, particularly those in higher grades, to foster critical thinking and geographical awareness. Regular updates on educational trends and advancements in geography will be expected to keep teaching methods current. Participation in school events, including field trips and exhibitions, will be part of the responsibilities. Maintaining a supportive and inclusive classroom environment will be key to student success.
To qualify, the candidate must hold a postgraduate degree in Geography or a related field with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is a strong asset for this role.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month, based on qualifications and experience, in Shahkot, Jalandhar.
