What You Will Do
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Mathematics students in grades 9-12
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and critical thinking
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and improve teaching methodologies
- Use technology to enhance teaching and learning, and to communicate with students and parents
- Participate in school events and activities, such as parent-teacher meetings and academic fairs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Mathematics education and research
- Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to Mathematics education
- Mentor and support students who require additional academic support
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or a related field
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is essential for this role
- TET or CTET certification is preferred, but not mandatory
- At least 2 years of experience in teaching Mathematics at a school level
- Strong knowledge of Mathematics curriculum and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
