Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver biology lessons aligned with the Punjab Board curriculum, ensuring clarity and depth in topics like cell biology, genetics, and ecology.
2. Prepare interactive classroom activities, experiments, and practical demonstrations to enhance student understanding and engagement.
3. Assess student performance through regular tests, projects, and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
4. Collaborate with the biology department to design unit plans, lab schedules, and educational resources tailored to student needs.
5. Maintain a well-equipped biology lab, ensuring safety standards and proper handling of lab equipment and chemicals.
6. Support extracurricular biology clubs or science fairs, encouraging students to explore research and innovation.
7. Keep parents informed about student progress through regular parent-teacher meetings and progress reports.
8. Stay updated on new biological research and teaching methodologies to incorporate modern educational practices.
To qualify, a postgraduate degree in Biology or a related field with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is essential. Two years of teaching experience, preferably in biology or science subjects, is preferred. A TET/CTET certificate is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong communication skills, patience, and a hands-on approach to biology education are key requirements.
