About This Role
Sacred Dale International School Punjab seeks an experienced LIBRARIAN to join its team in Ludhiana West, Ludhiana, Punjab. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the school library and contributing to the development of information literacy skills among students.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Managing the school library, including cataloging and processing new books, periodicals, and other materials.
2. Coordinating book purchases, subscriptions, and other library resources.
3. Developing and implementing information literacy programs for students.
4. Maintaining accurate records and reports of library usage and circulation.
5. Supervising library assistants and student volunteers.
6. Collaborating with teachers to integrate library instruction into curriculum planning.
7. Promoting reading and literacy among students through various programs and events.
8. Maintaining a welcoming and organized library environment.
Required Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in any field and at least 3 years of experience in library management or a related field. A graduate degree is not required but is an added advantage. Proficiency in computer software and library management systems is essential.
