Qualifications and Experience
Post‑graduate degree in Political Science with at least 4 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory; TET/CTET, if available, is a plus. This qualification set allows the teacher to design curriculum aligned with state guidelines and deliver complex concepts in an engaging manner.
Role Overview
The PGT Political Science Teacher will lead the department, preparing lesson plans, conducting classroom instruction, and assessing student progress. The role demands a deep understanding of political theory, Indian polity, and contemporary global affairs, enabling students to develop critical thinking and civic awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age‑appropriate lesson plans for classes 9 to 12, ensuring coverage of the syllabus and integration of current events.
- Deliver interactive lectures, facilitate debates, and use multimedia tools to enhance learning.
- Assess student performance through tests, projects, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
- Mentor junior teachers and support them in pedagogical techniques specific to Political Science.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities such as Model United Nations, quiz competitions, and community outreach programs.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress in line with school policies.
- Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum review sessions, and professional development workshops.
Compensation and Location
Salary: Rs.40,000 – Rs.50,000 per month.
