Responsibilities
- Design and deliver curriculum aligned with Punjab State Board standards for classes 6 to 10, ensuring conceptual clarity and practical application.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans, incorporating demonstrations, simulations, and laboratory experiments that reinforce theoretical knowledge.
- Conduct regular formative assessments, analyze results, and provide targeted feedback to students and parents.
- Manage the school laboratory, ensuring safety protocols, proper maintenance of equipment, and timely procurement of chemicals and supplies.
- Mentor and support junior staff and TGTs, sharing best practices and contributing to a collaborative teaching culture.
- Participate in subject‑specific workshops and professional development sessions to stay updated with modern teaching methodologies.
- Coordinate with other subject teachers to integrate interdisciplinary projects that highlight the relevance of chemistry in everyday life.
- Organize extracurricular activities such as science fairs, chemistry Olympiads, and field trips to industrial sites, fostering practical exposure.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, grade books, and report cards in compliance with school policies.
- Engage in community outreach programs, promoting science literacy among local schools and parents.
- Attend faculty meetings, school assemblies, and parent‑teacher conferences, representing the Chemistry department.
- Contribute to curriculum development, suggesting updates that reflect current scientific advancements and national education guidelines.
- Facilitate peer‑review sessions, encouraging constructive feedback among teachers to enhance instructional quality.
- Monitor student progress, identify learning gaps, and implement remedial strategies tailored to individual needs.
- Ensure all classroom and laboratory activities adhere to safety standards set by the school and state regulations.
Qualification and experience
Post‑graduate degree in Chemistry or related field required. B.Ed or D.El.Ed mandatory for teaching positions; TET/CTET preferred. Minimum three years of teaching experience in a school setting, with a proven record of student success. Strong communication skills and a passion for fostering curiosity in young minds are essential.
Salary and location
Rs.25,000 – Rs.50,000 per month for a full‑time TGT Chemistry Teacher. The position is based in Ludhiana East, Ludhiana, Punjab at International Public School.
