About This Role
We seek an experienced and passionate TGT English Teacher to join our team at Smart Mind Public School Punjab in Patiala, Punjab. As a TGT English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the literacy skills and language proficiency of our students, and in inspiring a love for English literature and language. You will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing individualized support to students who need extra help.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons to students in grades 6-8
- Assess student progress, identify areas of improvement, and develop strategies to address learning gaps
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
- Use a range of teaching methods and resources to promote student motivation and engagement
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide English language and literature programs
- Provide individualized support to students who need extra help or have special needs
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching and learning practices
- Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to English language and literature education
- Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events as required
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A B.Ed/D.El.Ed degree in English or a related field
- A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of English language, literature, and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and duties as required
