TGT Computer Science Teacher Job in Rupnagar, Punjab | School Recruitment
Role Summary
This senior role is for a TGT Computer Science Teacher at St Marys Sr Sec School Hayatpur who will take charge of the Computer Science department. The position is designed for a teacher with at least four years of experience and a postgraduate degree in Computer Science. The incumbent will lead curriculum planning, assessment design, and result delivery for Classes 9 to 12.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Computer Science to TGT classes, covering algorithms, programming, data structures, and practical lab sessions. Own the annual syllabus mapping and resource development for Computer Science across grades 9–12. Prepare students for CBSE board examinations with focused revision plans and mock tests.
Monitor monthly progress of each class section and identify underperforming students early for remedial support. Mentor junior Computer Science teachers through weekly teaching observations and feedback sessions. Organize inter-house coding competitions and inter-school tech fests to enhance practical exposure.
Collaborate with the school IT team to maintain two fully equipped Computer Science labs with updated software and hardware. Attend CBSE subject-specific workshops and bring back best practices to the department. Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, assessment data, and student portfolios.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or related field from a recognized university. B.Ed degree in Computer Science or Science stream from a NCTE-recognized institution.
Minimum four years of full-time teaching experience in TGT Computer Science at a CBSE-affiliated school. CTET or TET qualification is not mandatory but will be given preference during selection.
