Role Summary
Shivalik Convent School Mohali, a leading educational institution in Dera Bassi, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Punjab, has an immediate opening for a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) English Teacher. We are looking for an experienced English Teacher to join our team on an urgent basis.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach English to students from Class VI to XII with a focus on developing effective communication skills.
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
- Monitor student progress, identify areas of improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student performance and understanding of the subject.
- Develop and implement engaging teaching materials to promote student participation and interest in the subject.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to ask questions and explore their creativity.
Who Can Apply
- Bachelor's degree in English with a B.Ed./D.El.Ed. qualification or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject with a B.Ed./D.El.Ed. qualification.
- A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience as a PGT English Teacher in a reputable school.
- Strong knowledge of English language and literature, with the ability to teach various syllabi and textbooks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to student-centered learning.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: Rs.45,000 - Rs.55,000 per month ( negotiable for strong candidates).
