Your responsibilities
Plan and deliver TGT Punjabi lessons aligned with CBSE standards, integrating digital resources wherever possible. Prepare monthly teaching plans that include tech-based activities for better retention of language concepts. Conduct remedial sessions for students struggling with Punjabi grammar or script using online tools. Organize cultural events like Gidha or Bhangra workshops to reinforce Punjabi heritage through performance. Collaborate with the language department to develop e-content for Punjabi, including animated stories and rhymes. Assess students through both traditional tests and digital platforms like Google Forms or Kahoot. Maintain records of student progress digitally and share feedback with parents via school apps. Participate in teacher training workshops on modern Punjabi pedagogy and ed-tech tools.
Qualifications and digital literacy requirements
Postgraduate in Punjabi with B.Ed/D.El.Ed is mandatory. Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in TGT Punjabi is required. Familiarity with Google Classroom, Canva, and basic video editing tools is preferred. Basic knowledge of Punjabi typing and digital content creation is an added advantage.
Skills for the modern classroom
Strong command over spoken and written Punjabi with clear diction for classroom delivery. Ability to design interactive lessons using smart classrooms and language labs.
