Eligible candidates must have a B.Ed/D.El.Ed degree and a post-graduate degree in Social Science or a related field. A Teaching Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certificate is preferred but not mandatory.

Desirable skills include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to think critically and creatively, and a strong understanding of Social Science concepts and curriculum. Proficiency in Punjabi and Hindi is also required.
