Ms Ananda Global School in Gidderbaha, Sri Muktsar Sahib, invites applications for a full-time Punjabi PRT (Preliminary Teacher) position. This role focuses on delivering foundational education in Punjabi language and literature to students in Class I to Class V. The teacher will play a key role in shaping young learners’ linguistic skills, cultural understanding, and academic foundation in the regional language.
The primary responsibility of the Punjabi PRT will be to teach grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and basic literature. Daily lessons will cover essential topics like sentence structure, storytelling, poetry, and simple prose. The teacher must ensure interactive and engaging classroom activities that align with the school’s curriculum while adapting teaching methods to meet diverse student needs. Experience in using visual aids, storytelling techniques, and simple games to enhance learning is highly beneficial.
Assessment and evaluation form a significant part of this role. The teacher will design and conduct regular assessments to measure students’ progress in Punjabi language skills. These assessments may include oral presentations, written tests, and practical exercises to gauge comprehension and fluency. Feedback will be provided both individually and in small groups to reinforce learning. The teacher will also participate in monthly review meetings to discuss student performance and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Planning is another critical aspect of this position. The Punjabi PRT will prepare daily lesson plans that incorporate age-appropriate content, interactive exercises, and assessments. Collaboration with the subject coordinator will ensure alignment with the school’s broader educational goals. The teacher must stay updated on teaching methodologies, educational trends, and any curriculum updates to deliver high-quality instruction.
