Role Responsibilities
The teacher will plan, deliver and assess Computer Science lessons for classes IX to XII, aligning with the school’s curriculum and state guidelines. Daily classes will involve introducing programming concepts, operating system fundamentals, networking basics and digital citizenship, using both theory and practical labs. Preparing lesson plans, worksheets and project assignments that encourage logical thinking and problem‑solving is essential. The teacher will conduct regular lab sessions, guide students in coding projects, and supervise extracurricular activities such as coding clubs or inter‑school tech competitions. Maintaining accurate records of student performance, attendance and progress reports will form part of the routine, as will providing timely feedback to students and parents. Collaboration with senior faculty to integrate cross‑disciplinary projects, especially with mathematics and science, is expected. The role also includes participating in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and contributing ideas for curriculum enhancement. Ensuring that computer labs are kept orderly, equipment is functional, and safety protocols are followed is a further responsibility.
Eligibility
Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. A minimum of two years of teaching experience in a school setting, preferably handling senior secondary classes, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is considered advantageous. Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java or C++, and possess a good understanding of current educational technologies and assessment methods.
