TGT Social Science Teacher – Pragya Group Of Institutions, Ajmer, Rajasthan
What is this role?
The position is a full‑time Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) for Social Science at Pragya Group Of Institutions, a school in Ajmer, Rajasthan. You will be part of the teaching staff responsible for delivering the Social Science curriculum to secondary students.
What will I actually do?
You will plan and conduct lessons in History, Geography, Civics and Economics, using textbooks and supplementary resources aligned with the state syllabus. Preparing worksheets, projects and assessments, guiding classroom discussions, and evaluating student performance will be daily tasks. You will also coordinate co‑curricular activities such as debates, model UN and field trips that enhance social awareness. Maintaining records, communicating progress to parents and collaborating with fellow teachers for interdisciplinary units are also expected.
What do I need to qualify?
A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline is required, together with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed teaching qualification. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this vacancy.
What experience is expected?
A minimum of two years of teaching experience in Social Science at the secondary level is required. Candidates should have demonstrated ability to manage a classroom, prepare engaging lesson plans and assess student learning effectively.
