Physical Education (TGT) Vacancy in Tijara, Alwar, Rajasthan
BS Public School
Job Description
Work Culture
Bs Public School sits on the edge of Tijara, where the morning breeze carries the scent of mustard fields and the sound of school bells mixes with village chatter. Teachers here don’t just hand out timetables; they build routines that children carry home—morning assemblies that begin with the national anthem, yoga on the playground before the first bell, and inter-house matches that spill into local tournaments. The Physical Education team works closely with the games coordinator to plan the annual sports day, which doubles as a village gathering with parents and elders cheering from the sidelines.
Job Overview
The school needs a trained graduate teacher for Physical Education who can translate textbook fitness into real playtime. You will plan lessons for grades 6 to 8, organise drills, and ensure every child leaves the playground with a sense of effort and fun. At Bs Public School, Physical Education is not an extra; it is part of the weekly time-table for every section. The role is full-time and carries a class-teacher responsibility for one section, so you will also track attendance and small progress notes that go home every Friday.
Day-to-Day Duties
Conduct structured warm-up drills for two middle-school sections each morning before classes begin.
Design age-appropriate athletics circuits using available space between classrooms and the main ground.
Lead a weekly inter-house football match and record scores on a chalkboard visible to all.
Teach basic yogic breathing and simple asanas during the zero-period slot once a week.
Organise equipment—nets, cones, rubber balls—after every session and report shortages to the games room keeper.
Supervise the clean-up of the playground after lunch when children use it for free play.
Attend the Friday staff briefing to share observations about children who avoid PE or show fatigue.
Plan the annual sports day events with the art teacher for banners and the music teacher for marching tunes.
Who Can Apply
Post-graduate in Physical Education or Sports Science with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognised Indian institution.
Minimum three years of teaching Physical Education in a secondary school, preferably in north Rajasthan.
Preference for candidates who have handled TGT classes and understand CBSE/state curriculum expectations.
CTET or TET qualified candidates will receive consideration during shortlisting.
Perks and Pay
Fixed monthly salary of Rs.15,000 – Rs.25,000 based on experience and interview performance.
School-provided track suit for PE classes and a pair of canvas shoes every academic year.
Free on-campus tea and mid-day meals served in the staff dining hall.
Local transport allowance of Rs.800 per month for travel between Alwar city and Tijara.
Accommodation assistance for outstation teachers within walking distance of the school.
