PGT Geography Teacher Job in Barmer, Rajasthan | School Recruitment
Delhi Public School | Barmer seeks a dedicated PGT Geography Teacher to join its esteemed faculty. Role
The PGT Geography Teacher will lead geography classes, design engaging lesson plans, and ensure alignment with the CBSE syllabus. The teacher will play a key role in preparing students for competitive exams like NEET and state-level entrance tests, where geography questions often feature prominently.
Qualification
A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory for this position. A postgraduate degree in Geography (M.Sc. Geography or equivalent) is highly preferred. Teaching experience in a school setting, especially in Rajasthan, will be an added advantage. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be considered favorably for the role.
Experience
Candidates with at least two years of teaching experience in geography at the secondary or senior secondary level are encouraged to apply. Experience in designing curriculum-based activities, assessing student performance, and mentoring students is essential. Familiarity with local geography—such as Barmer’s desert landscapes, historical trade routes, and water resource management—will be beneficial.
Compensation
The selected candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs. 38,000 to Rs. 60,000, along with standard benefits including allowances for field trips and professional development. Key Responsibilities
Teaching geography at the senior secondary level, including theory and practical sessions. Developing and implementing innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement.
