- Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to improve their artistic skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects, enhancing students' understanding of art and craft in real-world contexts.
- Mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to enhance their teaching skills and subject knowledge.
- Participate in staff meetings, contributing to discussions on curriculum development, pedagogy, and assessment strategies.
- Develop and maintain a well-organized and stimulating Art And Craft department, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Engage with parents and students, keeping them informed about Art And Craft activities, progress, and achievements.
- Contribute to the development of school exhibitions, showcasing students' artwork and promoting the school's art and craft program.
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments, attendance, and progress, as required by the school and regulatory authorities.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote students' artistic skills, encouraging them to participate in art competitions, exhibitions, and other creative activities.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Applied Arts, or a related field. A B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. qualification is essential for this position, with a preference for candidates who have passed the CTET or TET. Additionally, a NET or SET qualification in Art Education would be advantageous.
