Job Overview
As a senior member of the English department at Gurukul Global School, you will be an integral part of shaping the academic curriculum and guiding junior staff members in Sardarshar, Churu, Rajasthan. This role requires a TGT English Teacher with 4 years of experience and a post-graduate degree in English Literature or a related field. A B.Ed. degree is mandatory, and TET/CTET certification is preferred but not compulsory.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Develop and implement teaching plans and curriculum for English classes from Class 6 to 12.
- Conduct regular classes and assessments to ensure board results meet expectations.
- Mentor and train junior staff members on teaching methods and classroom management.
- Plan and execute extracurricular activities, such as debates, elocution, and creative writing competitions, to promote English language skills and literature appreciation.
- Conduct parental meetings and provide feedback on student performance.
- Participate in school events and functions to promote English language and literature.
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and creativity.
- Collaborate with other department heads to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded curriculum.
- Evaluate and analyze student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, you must have a post-graduate degree in English Literature or a related field. A B.Ed. degree is a must, and 5 years of teaching experience with a TGT English designation is required. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not essential. Candidates with a NET or SET qualification will be given priority.
