About This Role
The ACCOUNTANT at Good Day Defense School will oversee all financial operations for the institution. Managing the school’s accounts ensures smooth functioning of administrative and academic activities. This role requires precision, accountability, and adherence to financial regulations.
Day-to-Day Duties
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for Good Day Defense School. Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, and petty cash transactions. Process salary payments for staff and vendors on time.
Handle fee collections from students and reconcile accounts regularly. Coordinate with banks for deposits, withdrawals, and online transactions. Ensure compliance with GST and other statutory requirements.
Prepare budgets for different departments and track expenditures against allocations. Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation when required. Support the administration in financial decision-making processes.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in Commerce, B.Com, M.Com, or related field is mandatory. Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an educational institution. Knowledge of Tally or similar accounting software is essential.
Experience with GST filing and income tax returns is preferred. Familiarity with school fee structures and vendor payments is an added advantage.
