Day-to-Day Duties
As an ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in Data Analytics, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in data analytics courses
- Conducting research in data analytics and publishing papers in reputable journals
- Supervising Ph.D. students in data analytics
- Developing and maintaining a strong research agenda
- Collaborating with faculty members from other departments on interdisciplinary research projects
- Engaging in academic administration and contributing to departmental decision-making
- Participating in university-wide initiatives and committees
Required Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you must possess a Ph.D. in Data Analytics or a related field, and a strong record of research publication and academic teaching experience. A post-doc experience is preferred but not mandatory. You must also have cleared the UGC-NET exam with JRF, which is mandatory for this position.
Academic Projects
As an ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in Data Analytics, you will be expected to develop and lead collaborative research projects, applying for funding opportunities to support your research. You will also be expected to publish your research in top-tier journals and present your work at international conferences.
Doctoral Guidance
As a faculty member, you will be responsible for guiding doctoral students in their research projects, providing guidance and support throughout their Ph.D. journey. You will also be responsible for evaluating and guiding thesis proposals and final theses.
