Role Summary
Jecrc University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Generative AI within the School of Computer Science and Engineering. Day-to-Day Duties
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Generative AI, including neural networks, transformers, diffusion models, and multimodal synthesis. Conduct hands-on lab sessions and project-based learning to enhance student understanding of practical AI implementation.
Design and deliver modules such as Large Language Models, AI for Creative Industries, and Generative AI Ethics. Regularly update course content in line with emerging research and industry trends.
Publish original research in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science, focusing on advances in generative modeling, prompt engineering, or AI safety. Collaborate with national and international researchers on funded projects.
Guide Ph.D. scholars in their dissertation work, ensuring alignment with university research priorities. Serve on academic committees including curriculum design, thesis evaluation, and research grant review panels.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field from a recognized university. Candidates with post-doctoral experience in Generative AI will be given preference during selection.
Candidates without a Ph.D. but holding a Master’s degree with UGC-NET/JRF qualified or equivalent SET/SLET certification may apply, provided they are willing to complete the Ph.D. within five years of appointment as per UGC norms.
