Jecrc University’s School of Engineering & Technology invites applications for the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - Renewable Energy position in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Department of Renewable Energy Engineering is recognized for its interdisciplinary research in solar photovoltaics, wind energy systems, and energy storage technologies. What You Will Do
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Renewable Energy Engineering, including Solar Energy Systems, Wind Power Technology, and Energy Storage Solutions. Design and deliver laboratory sessions using equipment available at Jecrc University’s Centre for Energy Studies.
Develop and update curriculum aligned with UGC norms and industry trends in renewable energy. Supervise B.Tech and M.Tech projects focused on real-world energy challenges faced by Rajasthan’s industries.
Publish research papers in Scopus/WoS indexed journals and present findings at national and international conferences. Encourage students to participate in paper presentations and innovation competitions organized by the Rajasthan State Renewable Energy Corporation.
Guide doctoral students enrolled in the Ph.D. program at Jecrc University in their thesis work. Assist in securing research grants from DST, MNRE, and other funding agencies for renewable energy projects.
Organize workshops and seminars on emerging technologies such as green hydrogen and smart grids. Coordinate with local industries for internships and sponsored projects in Jaipur’s growing renewable energy sector.
Eligibility Criteria
A Ph.D. in Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory for the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Renewable Energy vacancy in Jaipur. Candidates with a post-doctoral fellowship or industry experience in solar/wind energy will be given preference.
UGC-NET with JRF qualification is required if the Ph.D. is not completed. Minimum three years of teaching or research experience in renewable energy after post-graduation is necessary.
Preference will be given to candidates who have published at least five research papers in Scopus/WoS journals during the last five years. Familiarity with Rajasthan’s solar and wind energy policies is an added advantage.
